Hardware Installation

COM

COM Port

The system board is equipped with an onboard serial port at loca-

tion CN1. The serial port is RS-232 asynchronous communication

port with 16C550A-compatible UARTs that can be used with mo-

dems, serial printers, remote display terminals, and other serial de-

vices.

BIOS Setting

Configure the serial port in the Integrated Peripherals submenu (“Su-

per IO Device” section) of the BIOS. Refer to chapter 3 for more

information.
